EXTREME BARTENDING.COM IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT A 2-DAY VANCOUVER, CANADA SEMINAR IS SET FOR JANUARY 21 & 22, 2007 . (Sunday & Monday)
We normally are hired by bars all around the world to come to their city and do a private seminar for their staff, but we usually hold an "open to everyone" seminar in our home city approx. 2-3 times per year. Due to an incredibly busy travel/teaching/performance schedule, we’ve not held a Vancouver seminar for quite some time. My sincere apologies to those of you who have been waiting for a notification e-mail. Hopefully, you’ll be able to join us in January.
In case you haven’t heard, check out the following:
Two of our instructors, Micah Dew and Dave Simpson, traveled to New York City in October to appear as guests on the newly nationally syndicated TV talk show, RACHAEL RAY, where they demonstrated their ExtremeBartending style with pizzazz as they mixed a drink with tandem working flair, did some drink stacking & fire tricks, and taught Rachael a few Extreme moves!
Here are the seminar details:
LONSDALE QUAY HOTEL
123 Carrie Cates Court
North Vancouver, British Columbia
Canada (3rd floor of the Lonsdale Quay Market)
Front desk phone: 604-986-6111
For those of you familiar with the greater Vancouver Area, just a reminder that this hotel is accessible from downtown Vancouver by SeaBus. It is located in the LONSDALE QUAY waterfront shopping area. The TANTRA LOUNGE which has featured flair bartenders, is also found within this hotel.
For out-of-towners who will be requiring hotel accommodation, you will find a link for this hotel on our staff training web page (click Staff Training, then accommodations) where you can also find links to several downtown Vancouver Hotels, Youth Hostels, and both Vancouver and B.C. tourist bureaus for your convenience. If you choose to stay downtown in the nightclub area, the Lonsdale Quay Hotel is just a SeaBus ride away to N. Vancouver. The closest airport is the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), located about a 20 minute cab ride from downtown Vancouver, or ask your hotel if they provide van service to their door. Remember, you'll need to bring personal identification and a passport if you have it, in order to clear customs and immigration at the border.
Sunday, January 21 & Monday, January 22, 2007
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days
Pre-registration at 9:30 sharp
Be sure to come early so that we can get started promptly at 10 a.m. We suggest arriving by 9:30 a.m. to have time for coffee, juice, getting name tags, checking registrations etc. We'll break for lunch both days at about 1 p.m. and you'll be able to enjoy the many dining choices at the hotel and in the Lonsdale Quay fresh food waterfront shopping area. Or bring you own lunch and take the time to practice your new flair moves! Dress comfortably. We'll provide the unbreakable plastic practice bottles, mixing tins, and plastic glasses to practice with, plus anything else you'll need to develop or polish you flair moves during the seminar.
You are welcome to attend whether you are a beginner to flair, or are just wanting to perfect your basics and further develop your style! You'll learn or review a minimum of 73 flair moves. We'll also cover topics such as how to be an exceptional bartender, how to deal with difficult customers, how to best introduce flair to your bar, how to Serve It With Style, bar bets, tricks and challenges for your customers and lots more. So bring your enthusiasm, your willingness to learn, your positive energy and your questions. You'll make new friends who share your passion, and join the EXTREME BARTENDING family. Students who have already taken a seminar are invited to return at no extra charge to review and share what they've learned with new students. Scott Young will be joined by several of our Extreme Bartending Instructors to teach your class and to coach you in becoming an EXCEPTIONAL EXTREME BARTENDER!
(When your payment is received your place in the class will be secured. If you prefer, you can post-date your payment up to January 12.
We will not deposit them until 1 week before the seminar)
4. At the seminar, YOU WILL RECEIVE:
We'd like to tell you about a few special "Bonus's" (that everyone has been very pleased with) that we've just begun adding to the seminar. We've been in business for 10 yrs and we're in business for the long run, so we make the best all round deals for our students. Quite frankly our goal is to do more than make money. We want every student who takes our seminar to walk away talking about what a great experience it was and to really have the necessary tools to change the way they conduct their business for the better, so that they and their bar can make more money.
In addition to an 80 page manual and a course certificate given on completion of the seminar (if you pass J), every student will receive a "How to Be The Life Of The Party" DVD with 2 videos on one 3hr DVD. Vol. 1 - Party Games Tricks and Challenges and Vol. 2 Riddles, Puzzles and Brain Teasers. (This is an additional $34.95 US value for each student).
We provide all the equipment needed to practice. Students who wish to purchase the Flair bartending kit (Plastic Flair Bottle, Shaker Tin & Plastic Rocks glass) will be given a discount price for the starter kit as well as 50% off any of our other Learn to Flair DVD's (such as the Working Flair Starter Series) so they can take them home and continue to learn and practice after we've left. For product sales at the seminar we will accept cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover cards.
We hope you'll choose to join us in January 2007 for this exciting 2 days of fun and flair! I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
