Hey,

I'm going to a Bartending School right now. It's only for two weeks.. and its two classes a week. I honestly feel that it is not enough. I'm not all that comfortable with it yet. I feel that I really need some help and advice, tips and all that good stuff.

Anyway.. I'm asking if anyone around the age of 19-25 can maintain contact with me.. like thru email o wuteva.. so you can just school me on Bartending.. tell me some experiences you've had.. and just generally tell me what to expect.. how to handle certain situations.. and so fourth.

iite.. well for those who's willing to.. I thank you Smile

When I was 19 I took a bartending class. It was many years ago but it still was alot of drinks thrown at you. I got a job soon after (leagally) Don't let it worry you. Do your best to memorize your drinks though. Every bar you will work at will have drinks there that you never heard of and trust me there are tons of new stuff coming out every day. You will be better prepared by taking a class but there will be alot of things that you will learn while working that no class can teach you. The bottom line is don't worry !! Not everyone knows every drink!!!Good Luck!!... Sharon

That does seem like very little time to get taught - I went for 2 weeks every day for 3 hours - and learned alot!

Make up little tricks for every drink heres a few examples!

Gimlet remember vodka and lime
add Tsec its a kamacazi
add cran its a cosmo

so its a cosmokazi

or

mary is a tall girl - always goes in a tall glass

-

havey wall banger is a screwed up guy - so make a screw driver first then add the galino and ya done!

-

rob roy is a sweet guy from scotland - scotch and sweet V
