Post subject: Pouring with one hand |

| I usually pour from the shaker tin by splitting the glass and the tine, which alleviates the need for using a strainer. I'm having a problem doing this one handed and wondered if anybody had any tips or techniques. Thanks. |

YOU COULD JUST PUT THE SMALL TIN INSIDE THE LARGE TIN WITH THE BOTTOM INSIDE THEN PUSH DOWN ON THE SMALL TIN SO THAT NO ICE COMES OUT AND POUR

I like the classic ascpect of the shaker split for cocktails I must say and if you are in a place of class ( which I'm not ) it is a very at home technique. Personally i strain with a second tin using traps and tin to tin catches, neither or which is a difficult flair move. I use a second tin instead of the glass because you're less likely to spill ice in a driink and there is likely more tins around your bar then shaker glasses( in my experience) If I am 3-4 deep pouring shooters I ALWAYS use a strainer, it's much faster and more accuarte then any other thing ive tried. No ice chips and you can pour a full shaker of shooters which is impossible by flipping the glass around
