Post subject: Couple of quick questions! |
|
|
I actully got INTO bartending because i used to enjoy flipping bottles around. It was actully after i had been to school that i first watched Tom Cruise do his thing - thinking - if i was his bar manager...
Anyways - I graduated from school and took up a job at a bar - after a few months there im looking to get into flair alot more.
My roomate, also a bartender is learning (from the working video) with me.
Ok now that i have rambled on about myself here are my questions.
I basicly have 2 sequences Im trying to perfect - one covered by the video and one spawned by the video. First is the Vertical toss to a stall - front turtle roll into a reverse grip under left arm one and a half flip into pour (fun to say eh). The question i have is after the pour, whats the best - yet styish way to cut it off.
Also - when is it id use somthing like this? I would assume its just as im finnishing a bottle of juice.
The next question is more about my roomate and i doing our passes. I dont have a problem catching to a stall - i picked that up like it was nothing, the question is hes having ALOT of trouble throwing the bottle streight every time. Is there anything i can tell him, show him, to get the bottle to where i can catch on a stall?
Finnaly - how often do you drop/fumble your moves? If i can do it 50 times in a row 100 times in a row, when would you deem it safe to do at work.
Im actully in the process of building a homemade practice bar - pictures soon
PS please excuse spelling - long night - and dysleixc isnt a good thing! _________________ Jordan

One last question - the trick where you bounce a bottle on your elbow and keep it spinning - this is my dream trick - any tips on WHERE to start? I have tried it a bunch of times but i always end up with the bottle in a weird spot and a sore elbow! _________________ Jordan

I will stop posting for a while after this one - Im starting to spam the boards heh.
I just managed to pull this one off - 4AM in the pouring rain - i can get a single bump in by waiting till the bottom of the bottle has passed - now is there a trick to getting this 2x or even more? _________________ Jordan

Hawk - have you tried the 4 points stall trick he shows? Its alot harder then it looks lol - might be a good stepping stone - im up to 2 points now to get the left and right down lol, then i hope to go from hand to hand _________________ Jordan
