I'm trying to get into bartending. Every bartender that I've talked to has said the best way to learn is to jump into it. I've worked in a bar for the past 7 months and am very familiar with most drinks. The problem is most bars around me don't hire you without experiance, and I'm afraid to waste money on a bartending school and not get anything from it. I'm tired of waitressing. And I love being behind the bar, having all the "fun". I have no idea what I should do or even where to start. Can someone give me a little advice on this?

have more fun than anyone else behind the bar you are currently at people talk and owners listen to customers if you can build a rep. at the bar you are at people will talk and doors will open. i beleive that what ever bar i am tending at,it is the best bar to be in and i play hard to prove it . i have worked at a bar where an owner of another bar came to me and said she had to have me at her bar remember weather you think or not you are being watched and talked about. good luck and have a ton of fun. _________________ Just cause customers don't expect it doesn't mean they don't deserve it.
