Last call,
There is no answer to this - Really - I'm not being unhelpfull! However, here are a couple of tips.
You canvas the clubs, you become a patron, you meet the staff, talk them up and show them that you are an OK person. You ALWAYS appear in a club in clean clothes with a tidy appearance. You get to know them by name and they get to know you by name. Then and ONLY then do you drop the "Hey, You got any job openings?" question.
Or you just stay persistent in canvasing the clubs and asking for jobs. Always have a nice clean copy of a generic application and your resume on you when you are canvasing like this. This is not the most efficient way to go about it, but I've seen it work.
If you have no experience, then you will be best off asking about jobs barbacking, waiting tables or working as security and moving up from there. A lot of places only hire bartenders from within, so this is a good shot.
Glean the papers for a club job. You probably won't see many of them because they hire from within.
Remember to ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have a neat and clean appearance, that is the key to get a manager or owner to even pay attention. I had a gal come in and apply for a job in one of my bars last week. She was wearing plaid flannel pants, a ripped up T-shirt and bedroom slippers. I laughed her out the door. I don't even want coustomers that dress like that.
Well, hope this helps.
