If you are in a tipical corner bar in most places it could also mean squirt soda or any sour soda like 50/50. Your best bet would be to ask the bartenders in what ever bar you are working/ frequenting. Good Luck But yes a proper sour is lime juice [color=black:5377f320a7][/color:5377f320a7] _________________ Just cause customers don't expect it doesn't mean they don't deserve it.
In my corner of the world, "sour" is short for Sweet and Sour, which is not just straight lime juice, it is lime juice, lemon juice and simple syrup, or in most places "Margarita Mix".
I have an adversion to mass produced margartia mix, so I love to make my own Sweet and Sour, however, it really isn't cost or time effective to make up that much ahead of time, especialy in bars that have a very high volume.
If you were to use just straight lime, you would probably get some pretty funny looks, as it is sweetened lime even in a premix
Sour is sweet and sour where im from - margartias are teq SS trip sec and lime juice (sweetened)
one of my friends fav drinks is an amereto sour - i learned it 1.5ounce amereto once of sweet and sour(S&S) shaken served streight up in a flute - but serving on the rocks seems more popular _________________ Jordan
