I'm just wondering why there have been so few posts since the board changed over. I know I had a heck of a time getting registered. Maybe the technical dificulties are turning people off?
Even though this board is a bit tweaky it's still way better than the old one. Just one thing: Why, oh, why do you folks insist on calling it "Chat Room". It is SOOOO not a chat room. A chat room features real-time comunication. This IS a "Forum" or "Message Board".
So How about we change that button to say "EXTREME FORUM"? And maybe in the future have a real chat room?
Anyway, Scott, congrats on the site upgrade and DVD formats. You rock!

Technically, this isn't so hard, althought phpBB forums are a bit quirky. Infopop message boards are about the same, as well as ones using Invision Power Board software, too. Those are all current, popular message/forum formats.
Visit Wine Spectator's message board, you need to go through the same registration process, as does Food Network and eGullet.
Most of which require you to receive an activation from your confirmation email. Some boards also may reject member applications too!
At any rate, even in the old format, the daily posts were sometimes few, but it was all in a list fashion giving it a busier appearance possibly? Also consider how many threads were started of "I'm in need of a job."

I hear ya Beans. There were definately some trouble makers on the old board. Screen-name thieves, racist, etc. Any way, glad to see you here
