hey
Try either OJ r add some sugar.
Alot of restaurants add sugar to make the dirnk more universal and it appeals to alot of people.
but if your in a mood to please. Try this drink.
1 1/2 oz of Jose cuervo 1800 (dark tequila)
1/2 oz of jose cuervo white (white tequila)
1 1/4 oz of Rose sweetened Lime juice
1/2 oz of triple sec
3 wedges of lime
heres the secret
add a splash of orange curacao (Bols)
mix all of it together(except limes squeeze 2 in the mixer but do not put them in the mixer)
add salt to glass and put limes around edges
pour the mix into the cup and enjoy the

Ok no offence but those are not margaritas
A margarita is
2 Tequila
1 Triple Sec
squeeze Lime
Play with the proportions until you get it tasting right
If you don't like the tequila taste - use less tequila
If you don't want it too sour - use less lime juice
If you want a RTD - go buy one.
Trust me - don't kill classics by adding ingredients that don't belong in them - or call it something else.
I never understood a classic gin martini for ages - then I just bought a bottle of tanquary and noilly pratt - took them home and played for ages. This investment is worth it. As you can flair all you want but if you can't make a classic cocktial then you bring negativity from customers.
Have you tried this drink frozen - double the ingredients add more ice and put it in a blender. Frozen Margarita.
However - remember that the classic is a sipping drink and lime juice should be used.
I hope I haven't spoiled your day.

However you want to call your margarita make it the way it should have been created the 1st time round! Not with an ORANGE LIQ (what does it have to do with Tequila anyway?) and use ALL Natural Ingredients!
Only Tequila that says 100% Agave on the bottle (meaning they havnt added shit alcohol to make up 49% of the bottle)
I.E-Jose Curvo Especial!!!!!!!!!!!!
& Suaza Blanco+Gold
Only use fresh limes squeezed there and then!
And most importantly Agave Syrup (the sugar wich all Tequlia is made from)
simply 2 parts 100% Agave Tequila
1 part Fresh squeezed Lime
1 part Agave Syrup
Im from London England, an we can buy it here (in health food stores) so i dont see why you carnt get it in the U.S.A. The drink is made a thousand times a day in Tommys Bar in San Fran, where the guy who runs the place Julio Bermejo, holds the largest stock of 100% Agave Tequila in the world.
No Chemicals means NO hangover!!!!!!!!!!! |

all i am seeing is horrible horrible advice to use terrible liquors and bad ways to give a customer a shitty drink
*the* best marg.
hand press 3 lime halves.
jig of el tesoro PARADISO tequila (very expensive, but will not drown in a marg... garunteed!).. or anejo, or silver if you are working your way down...
1/2 oz of patron citronage (mexican cointreau... very quality, half price)
1/2 oz simple syrup
shake and serve in KOSHER saleted rim. Kosher salt tastes the best.
less sour? throw on some grand marnier. |

3 Tequila
2 Triple sec
1 Lime juice
2 Sweet and Sour
Splash Orange Juice
That's called a Texas Margarita.
Tourists love it and ask for at least 2 rounds during dinner.
Kosher salt really IS the best salt for it. |
