| So i'v been looking around all day on a few sites about wages for a bartender in Canada. I understand about the tips and everything, but what is the base wage for a bartender. I'v read alot of different anwers, some from 2-6$.... please help? which one is righT? |

| It depends on the province and the minimum wage. In B.C it is 8, in N.B. it is 7 (I think). Usually a bartender is paid the minimum wage. You have to show that you are an above average bartender to recieve more. Hopefully more people can help answer you question. |

| yes i am located in Alberta so yah.... and what really makes me kinda pissed, is that i am trying to understand how much u might make at a busy nightclub, i was trying to figure out to budget a little, and here i get responses like 20-300$ |

yea it depends on the province. From what I've heard, as long as the tips are good, expect anything from base minimum wage to lower than that.
Where i work, there arent a lot of tips, so i'm getting 10/hr to kinda cover for the low tips. But i started at 7.50/hr

the base is $4.00
