Midori is a pretty, green honey dew flavored liqueur that orginated from Japan. It is sweet and is used fairly often in many different cocktails. I am unable to recall any liqueurs that can be used in place of midori. There are different brands of melon liqueurs that you can use... Bols, Dekupers are two of them. It really depends on the ingred. in your drink. There is watermelon schnapps but I'm not sure if this would work very well in place of midori. Well, that is all I can tell ya. i'm sure someone out there has more knowledge to share on this...T

Midori is quite delicious, a light mellon flavor. It can easily be substituted with other Mellon flavored liqours from the makers that Tildy mentioned, but the gravities of the liqours may be diffrent and the flavor a bit more pungent. This will only affect silghtly the flavor of a mixed drink, however if your are layering liqours for a drink or shot it may be difficult to find a reliable relpacement.
Good luck. _________________ The odds are good but the goods are odd.
might be a bit controversial this; I think midori is a bit like 'pisang ambon' a south african (i think) green liquor. it's about 20% much the same as Midori.
